The Philippines is an absolutely beautiful place.
It’s everything you could want from a tropical paradise.
Long, white sandy beaches.
Tall coconut trees swaying in the breeze.
Pristine blue water and adventure galore.
If you need some rest and relaxation, there is no better place than the Philippines. The scenery is incredible, the people friendly and the food tasty. You’ll find all the creature comforts you need, as well as a bucketload of adrenaline-packed activities when you’ve got the need for speed.
How would it feel if your trip was booked? Imagine what it would feel like if you were leaving tomorrow. Perhaps you are on your way already. While you’re here, be sure to stay at one of the best Puerto Galera resorts – BADLADZ!
When it comes to vacations, a lot of people don’t want to plan. They want to escape from the rigors of working life and ride with the wind for as long as possible. Spontaneity is their creed and they’ll be damned if they have to make concrete plans.
Most people just want to “rock n’ roll”.
While spontaneity in life is essential to enjoyment and I love it myself, there are a few things you should plan for.
One of the most important things when it comes to Philippines travel advice (or any travel advice, for that matter), is the question of what gear should you bring?
First, most people bring way too much stuff.
They try to pack for every contingency. They bring nice clothes for that random dinner in a nice restaurant. They bring an umbrella in case it rains. They pack for all weather scenarios. This is extremely silly and will cause a whole bunch of headaches. I even heard of one couple bringing bottled water to the Philippines because they didn’t think there was any bottled water here!
As a general rule, if you can buy something in your country, you can buy it in the Philippines. Whether you need an Apple Macbook, bottled water, umbrellas, new clothes or batteries, you can get it here.
When you come to the Philippines, you want the right gear. It will make your life a lot easier, and enjoying the Puerto Galera activities and nightlife will be much more simple.
Here’s a rough list of good gear for the Philippines:
- waterproof backpack
- laptop (small, if possible)
- swimsuit
- microfiber towel
- wrinkle-free clothing (no need to iron)
- 2 or 3 changes of clothes (cheap laundry here, especially at Badladz!)
- MAYBE a change of pants, though not really necessary
Essentially, you want to focus on lightweight stuff. There’s a lot of great adventure in the Philippines, so you want to pack light and fast. Packing light makes everything easier. This is one of the best Philippines travel advice tips.
When you pack light, you don’t have to worry about your bags as much. You can put your mind to the task of getting the most from your holiday in paradise.
If you’re ready to book your trip, kick your adventure off with a stay at Badladz Adventure Resort, or Badladz Beach Resort!
