Are you thinking of coming to the land of milk and honey?
That’s the Philippines.
You’ll love it.
One of the big reasons people love coming to the Philippines is the diving. And there’s no better place to go scuba diving than in Puerto Galera.
This isn’t just some blanket claim that I can’t back up either.
Nope.
This is legit.
Puerto Galera and the nearby Verde Island passage is known as the world’s center of biodiversity. A bunch of smart dudes in white lab coats and glasses decided it was so. In other words, scientists discovered that the water surrounding Puerto Galera had more ocean life than anywhere else in the world.
Yup.
That’s more than the Caribbean. More than the Great Barrier Reef. More than all those places.
This means that you get to experience the best of the best.
If it’s your first time diving, get started with a Discover Scuba Diving course. After that, work your way through the amazing dive sites.
You’ll love it.
One of the most famous scuba dive sites is The Kilimar Drift. Every month, thousands of people from around the world visit Puerto Galera to get in on the action at this specific dive site. But if it’s your first time,
You’ll have to wait. It’s an expert dive.
I went to the Manila Channel on my first time. It was mildly overcast and a little cold, but once we were in the water, it warmed up. We dropped down to 12 meters and then spent the next hour floating down the channel. Due to the tides, there was a slight drift moving us in toward Puerto Galera.
To put it simply -
this dive blew my mind.
I had no idea it was so amazing.
The best way to imagine it is to think about visiting another planet.
When you dive, you see stuff that is beyond belief.
Sure… you’ll see lots of fish. Some of them, you’ll recognize, like the orange clown fish from “Nemo”.
But most of the stuff will defy belief. It will have outrageous colors that you would never see above the surface. Bright pinks, crazy blues and fluorescent yellows. In some areas, the reef will appear to glow. You’ll see lion fish, as well as the occasional eel.
After you’ve been down, you’ll never be the same.
If you’re like most people, you won’t be able to wait before going again.
That’s how great diving is.
But when you do it in Puerto Galera, it is a whole new level.
So some to Badladz.
We have an in-house scuba dive shop and can show you all the top sites in the area. We’ll take you on a tour of the shipwrecks… we’ll visit the giant clams and we’ll discover the hidden secrets beneath the surface…
