Boracay Beach Fire Dancers

If you’re looking for things to do in Boracay Beach area, I definitely recommend checking out the Boracay Beach Fire Dancers. I was recently there and recorded a video for you to see what it’s like from the comfort of your home. But I highly recommend you go see the Boracay Beach fire dancers in person as this is one of the best things to do in Boracay.

Boracay Beach Fire Dancers

Boracay Island

Boracay is a small island in the Philippines located approximately 315 kilometers (196 mi) south of Manila and 2 kilometers (1.2 mi) off the northwest tip of Panay Island in Western Visayas region of the Philippines. Because of its beautiful beaches Boracay have received awards from numerous travel publications and agencies.

The island comprises the barangays of Manoc-Manoc, Balabag, and Yapak in the municipality of Malay, in Aklan Province. Boracay is administered by the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority and the provincial government of Aklan. Apart from its white sand beaches, Boracay is also famous for being one of the world’s top destinations for relaxation. As of 2013, it was emerging among the top destinations for tranquility and nightlife.

Boracay was awarded as the 2012 best island in the world from the international travel magazine Travel + Leisure. In 2014, the resort island was at the top of the Best Islands in the World list published by the international magazine Condé Nast Traveler. In 2016, Boracay headed the magazine’s list of Top 10 destinations to watch.

Boracay Rehabilition

In April 2018 the Philippine Government decreed a 6-month closure of the island for tourists to undertake major renovation works. Especially of the sewerage system, which had become obsolete and insufficient. It re-opened in October 2018 with a set of new rules meant to address a variety of issues.

October 26, 2018, Boracay was re-opened to the public, while a variety of infrastructures was being built.

April 2019, a variety of national and local news agencies confirmed the existence of numerous newly-established Chinese-owned businesses in Boracay. Additionally, jobs for Filipino workers have been taken over by around 300 mainland Chinese citizens.

Also in April of 2019, Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello said that the Department of Labor and Employment has no control over foreign businesses setting up shop on the island, but that it vows to ensure that no Chinese national could take jobs fit for Filipinos.

One thing that Filipinos can be sure of, that the traditional fire dancers in Boracay will always hold this role in the Philippines.

Boracay Nightlife

As they say on TV, don’t try this at home!!

Boracay Nightlife is some of the best entertainment you can find on the island in this area. So imagine this… you’re in the moonlight on Boracay beach, enjoying smooth tropical drinks. The air is ripe with the smell of kerosene while the sounds of jungle drums are beating in the background. Boracay beach hotels offer some scheduled shows most nights and definitely on the weekends, as well as some private shows right on the beach hosted by some of the popular restaurants and bars as well.

It’s hot, it’s sexy… but wait a minute…

Now there is a well-known secret about this sexy fire dance here in the Philippines… watch the video to find out.

Boracay Beach Fire Dancers Video

As you will see in my Boracay Fire Dancer Video below they are quite skilled at what they. It’s quite entertaining to watch when you’re on the island. That’s what makes the Boracay Nightlife so special for everyone that comes to experience these shows first hand.

You will often find fire dancers on the major tourist beaches here in the Philippines. Two of the most popular beaches where you will find them is, of course, Boracay Beach and down the road from me in White Beach.

I always advise that fire dancing probably isn’t something you would want to try in your back yard. But I do recommend you go check it out while enjoying a relaxing evening at either one of these beaches. The dancers put on a good show and it’s a good time to relax with family and friends.

White Beach Fire Dancers

If you’re down in my neck of the woods, Puerto Galera on Mindoro Island. You can find Beach fire dancers here on White Beach as well. Experience this same type of fire dancing show in Boracay, right here in Puerto Galera as well. The best part about it, is you don’t need to get on a plane to experience the thrill of a real-life fire dancing show either.

Puerto Galera is only 3 hours away from Manila, the biggest metropolitan city of the Philippines. That’s what makes Puerto Galera the number one travel destination for those already in the Manila area.

Not only do they offer beach fire dance shows here at White beach Puerto Galera usually on the weekends or during high season. For those who are also a bit more open-minded you can witness one of the famous bakalak (cross-dresser) shows right on the beach here as well.

Every night on white beach there are several different bars with tables and chairs set up on the beach offering funny and really out-of-this-world bakla shows here on White beach in Puerto Galera. Even if your first language isn’t Tagalog, you can’t help but laugh and enjoy along with the show as most of the time all you need to know is that body language and tones can say it all.
