200th Video About Living in the Philippines

This video is a bit of milestone. I now have 200 videos on YouTube about Living in the Philippines. I’ve been doing this since 2009 and have about 2.5 million views on my videos now.

Thank You to All our Youtube Subscribers!

Now if you think that’s easy, you gotta try doing two videos a month for 7 years when you’ve got to be your own cameraman, you’ve got to do your own audio and your own editing.

Watch the video and you’ll see I’ve got the drone up there I’m controlling it while I’m recording the video.

It’s quite a task, but it’s really really well worth it.

Why Do I Make Videos About Living in the Philippines?

Why am I recording these videos? I’m doing this to promote the Philippines and how to navigate this fun country because I wish I had met someone like me when I first got here.

I mean this place is really awesome. Nobody understands it, everybody is afraid of it, there’s not enough information about it. There are just so many things you can see and do here.

I cover topics ranging from how to get from these different places, you know things like how to properly bribe the cops and why you shouldn’t carry a knife in your pocket. Many of the things like that, and then some.

What Do I Like About Living in the Philippines?

The main thing I like about living in the Philippines is that this country has one of the longest coastlines in the world. It’s over 36,000 kilometers. The country I come from has over 200,000 kilometers of coastline but none of it is as nearly nice as this, a lot of it is frozen cold.

Now if you watch my videos you’ll see I really go into depth telling people…

  • Tips on how to get around
  • Where to look first
  • How to do business here (the legal way of doing it)
  • Ideas on where to live
  • How to get around the foreigner restrictions legally
  • Places you might want to live here

I’ve really been everywhere in the Philippines doing videos about different parts of the Philippines as well as some good old fashion treasure hunting. I have a few videos about that coming soon.

I make these videos so I can tell you things about all the places that I’ve been and all the lessons I’ve learned over the last 18 years here in the Philippines.

A country like this can be intimidating because it’s a developing country. Things are not as they are at home here. So just about anybody could use some advice to feel more comfortable when they’re planning on living in the Philippines.

A Lot of Opportunities in the Philippines

Like anywhere, there are opportunities to be found. You have to know people to find opportunities. With the help of my videos, I’ve met a lot of people while living in the Philippines.

Literally, thousands of people have come here because of my videos because they feel more comfortable getting perspective from someone who has lived here for a long time.

Hundreds have come to talk to me about all kinds of topics, especially those mentioned above just to get a feel of the country.

For example, a mother and son came to live here at BADLADZ Beach Resort for a few months because they had left Europe and weren’t going back and they wanted to really get comfortable and acclimatized before they started traveling around and doing anything here in the Philippines.

A lot of the lessons I’ve learned… I learned the hard way. Most of these lessons most people won’t publicly talk about.

These lessons are about

…and that’s just a few topics I’ve covered

Sometimes doing some of these videos I got arrested and for a few of these videos, I get death threats because they’re still up and people got in trouble with them.

The main thing is I want people to come here and have fun because this is a great place. It has lots of opportunities, lots of adventure which it seems we don’t get enough of that in our countries anymore.

The scenery is awesome too!
